  i dont know how long it will last, a month, a year, forever?!?!

  last few months have been real roller-coaster for me, many things have changed dramatically.

  ive sold the house and small part of that money i really want now to invest into my own journeys.

  this book caught my eye.

  is it any good?

  my main goal is get aquainted with jw past and then read some of the writings of russell and rutherford.

  Thumbs up from me.
  It's easy to read and puts thing very simply using diagrams and keypoints.
  There's even room for notes in the margins.
  My kids like it too, as it's not as deep as the other books we have like COC, Gentile Times Reconsidered, etc.

  this is a nice big open board, thought i'd throw myself out there.. recently i had been a part of the "e-jehovah's witness" board.

  especially as i don't think i even care that much anymore.

  well, 3 weeks after that she cheated again, with a different guy.

  It's interesting to hear different viewpoints on this; I don't feel like it's just me.
  
  I take your point Qcmbr, although I did actually plead with someone very close to me when they DA'ed, on the whole the advice is to stay away from doubters.

  beating down our doors, pleading with us to go back?
  
  Is it just me or has anyone else experienced this lack of concern?
  We're not DA'ed or DF'ed, yet nobody calls or visits. (Not that we'd go back, but they don't know that.)

  it is what they call new guys at bethel.

  its a way the guys, who have been there awile (like over a year) to put you down.................if you are a new boy you don't know how the organization really works.. one of my favorite new boy stories is about lyman swingle gb.. lunch in the 124 lower dining room 1973. lyman swingle table head said to a new black bethelite........"boy would you pass me the potatos?

  Not sure if it's the same everywhere, but here if a householder tells the JWs never to call again they are then termed a "Do not call".
  
  Dubs are then instructed before 'working' a street, "Don't knock number 666 as they're a Do not call."
  
  As I don't wish to ever see them at my door again I felt it was an appropriate board name.

  I lurked for about 3 years before my first post a few days ago.
  I always wonder how many lurkers are out there.
  In my case I always wanted to post, but was unable due to the cookie settings or something.
  When we changed to Firefox I tried again and was able to log on with no problem.
